Marissa Bell

Assistant District Attorney Johnson County, Kansas

Marissa Bell is an Assistant District Attorney with the Johnson County DA’s Office. She is the current Section Chief of the office’s Economic Crime Unit and prosecutes cases spanning all areas of criminal law, with an emphasis on complex financial crimes and physical and financial abuse cases involving elder and dependent adult victims. She is both an avid fan and a double alumnus of the University of Kansas, having earned her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from KU. In addition to serving as a trustee of the Johnson County Bar Foundation, Marissa is actively involved with both the Johnson County Bar Association and as a selected member of the Earl E. O’Connor Inn of Court. Outside of work, Marissa enjoys traveling with her husband, going on walks with her eight-pound Havapoo, reading, and cheering on her Jayhawks.
