Nate Harbur, Gift of Life

In 1998, my wife Kim and I founded Gift of Life to raise the awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation in our community out of gratitude for the gift of a donated liver that saved our son Luke’s life when he was eleven months old.  The Johnson County Bar Foundation has provided financial support to Gift of Life over many years which has been invaluable to the development of our Life Savers high school classroom program which is established in 115 area high schools and reaches over 30,000 students and their family members annually. Gift of Life recently received a generous grant from Mid America Transplant to expand the Life Savers program to St. Louis.
